The Patrol's 5.6-litre V8 delivers the torque and cooling capacity required for armoured mass in ambient temperatures exceeding 50°C.
WELP's conversion includes an uprated cooling system optimised for high-temperature environments, run-flat tyres suited to desert surfaces, and a self-sealing fuel tank rated for arid conditions. The Patrol's coil-spring suspension is recalibrated for armoured weight while retaining the vehicle's outstanding desert articulation.
