Vehicle Overview
The Mercedes-AMG G63 VR8 is WELP Group's flagship SUV armour conversion — and the benchmark against which all other armoured SUVs are measured. Built on the AMG G63 platform, it delivers full VR8 ballistic protection (VPAM BRV 2009) across every panel, glazed surface, and structural cavity without any visible modification to the vehicle's factory exterior or interior presentation.
Every conversion undergoes in-house ballistic testing at WELP's German facility, with each glazed surface fired upon at the certified protection level before handover. The floor armour is independently certified for blast and IED threats. Run-flat inserts are rated for 80 km at 80 km/h — sufficient to exit any urban threat scenario.
The AMG G63's air suspension is fully recalibrated post-conversion to compensate for the added armoured mass, preserving the factory ride quality and ground clearance. The MBUX infotainment system, AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension modes, and all driver assistance systems remain fully operational.

Rated for 80 km at 80 km/h. Allows continued driving after tyre deflation under threat conditions.
Armoured Fuel Tank
Self-sealing fuel tank prevents fuel fire on penetration. Added protective plating over tank housing.
Emergency Exit System
Emergency exit mechanism in rear and side panels. Operational under structural deformation.
Intercom System
Encrypted internal and external intercom. Driver-passenger communication sealed from external audio.
Covert Profile
Factory exterior finish preserved. Armour conversion indistinguishable from a standard G63 by external observers.
